Naomi Wagura

Director, Solution Led Countries, Africa
Naomi joined GEAPP in 2021. She has worked across various areas in the energy industry in Africa. First, as an engineer designing energy access solutions, and for the past couple of years managing and implementing energy policy and energy access market development programs across multiple African countries. Her current role includes leading and supporting the strategy development of GEAPP’s Africa interventions in collaboration with team members, governments and external partners. She is currently collaborating with GEAPP in-country partners in designing and implementing country programs in Benin, Burundi, Malawi, Sierra leone and Uganda. She holds a MEng in Renewable Energy from Massey University and a Bachelor degree in Engineering from Kenyatta University. She was part of the inaugural cohort of the Yale Emerging Climate Fellows Program.
When she is not working, Naomi likes to play with her 3 boys and dream up new ways of being.
