Vaishali Mishra

Director, Communications and Advocacy, Asia

Vaishali has been in SPI for over three years and leads the communications and advocacy efforts. She works closely with the program team to design, develop and socialize SPI’s impact with sectoral stakeholders. Vaishali was instrumental in developing communications products for the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), including the “Flip The Switch” podcast and the “Green the Gap” campaign.

She has worked in capacities ranging from project management to communication and marketing in organizations such as the Commonwealth Secretariat and the World Bank. Her previous role was at the Microfinance Institutions Network, the industry body for microfinance established by the Reserve Bank of India, as the head of communications & marketing, where she developed the first-ever digital microfinance customer app.

Vaishali holds a Master’s in International Journalism from the City University of London, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Media from the University of Delhi. She also is a Commonwealth Chevening scholar.
