Washington, D.C. | 10 March, 2025 — The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (Global Energy Alliance) is excited to announce the appointment of Agnes Dasewicz as its new Chief Investment Officer. Agnes is a leader in development finance, with extensive expertise in identifying investment opportunities that drive sustainability and poverty reduction in emerging markets.

As Chief Investment Officer, Agnes will be responsible for leading Global Energy Alliance investment strategy, driving new opportunities to scale the Alliance’s impact, and furthering its mission to provide affordable, clean and reliable energy solutions in underserved regions. Her leadership will be pivotal in advancing Global Energy Alliance work to address energy poverty and climate change, catalyze investment in renewable energy, and create resilient, sustainable communities around the world.

Prior to joining Global Energy Alliance, Agnes served as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Investments at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), where she led unprecedented growth in investments and prioritized increasing capital allocations to energy, infrastructure, and nature-based solutions. She was also instrumental in expanding DFC’s presence in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at USAID and IFC, co-founded an impact investing fund, and served on the boards of international corporations and nonprofit organizations.
