‘Grids of the Future’ a new film presented by Global Energy Alliance

Our new film “Grids of the Future”, takes you behind the scenes of the systems powering our world, traveling to India – home to 1.4 billion people and one of the world’s largest electricity grids – to see this transformation in action.

The film follows the people and technologies changing energy and lives: from Surendra, a grid mapper in Rajasthan creating a ‘digital twin’ of the grid, to a battery project bringing power to thousands of households in Delhi.

Through digital mapping, AI, battery storage and close collaboration with governments and utilities, Global Energy Alliance is helping emerging and developing economies overcome technical, regulatory and financial hurdles as they seek to build electricity grids ready for the future.

As the film shows, modernization is about far more than infrastructure. Next-generation grids support better jobs, healthcare and education, support economies and strengthen communities. The innovations pioneered in India offer a powerful model for emerging economies to build a prosperous and sustainable future.
