Francesco La Camera has been Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since April 2019. With over 30 years of experience in climate policy and international cooperation, he leads IRENA’s efforts to support member states with a more action-driven approach to the global energy transition. Under his leadership, IRENA has deepened partnerships with UNDP, UNFCCC, and the Green Climate Fund to accelerate renewable energy deployment and advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
