The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, in collaboration with Zambia’s Rural Electrification Authority (REA), is inviting expressions of interest from distributed renewable energy developers to participate in a pioneering pilot that aims to accelerate universal rural electrification. The Universal Access Clusters (UAC) model combines public, private and philanthropic financing to deliver affordable, reliable electricity while supporting productive economic activity and demonstrating a scalable approach to achieving universal energy access.
