In Kawa Village, Maluku, GEAPP is leveraging our alliance to better learn how we can build stronger communities. Solar ice makers can help communities with reliability for small businesses. It enables these local business leaders to fish for longer hours, increasing their supply, while keeping high quality. These improvements of the cold value chain translate to increased incomes; however, fishers in Kawa Village are limited by their ice block production capacity (1 ton per day), meaning we need to keep working together to change energy further and faster.
