The North has seen a rapid increase in electricity consumption, tripling since 2010. Yet, the power infrastructure struggles to keep up, leading to summer shortages. Northern Vietnam has significant potential for solar, wind, and biomass energy, crucial for replacing traditional fuels and meeting future demand. The transmission grid in the North needs significant upgrades to handle the increased load from renewable sources. It outlines a strategic pathway for a sustainable, reliable energy future for Northern Vietnam.
