Anne Finucane is a business executive, and the former Vice Chair of Bank of America (BofA) and former Chairman of BofA Europe. She was the first woman to serve in these roles at BofA. She was also a member of the Board of Bank of America Securities, Europe. She currently serves on a number of public, private, and non-profit boards.

As Vice Chair of Bank of America, Finucane led the company’s strategic positioning and global sustainable and climate finance work, environmental, social and governance (ESG), capital deployment and public policy efforts. She is widely recognized for pioneering sustainable finance in the banking industry. For most of her career, Finucane also oversaw marketing, communications, and data and analytics at the company, and is credited with leading Bank of America’s successful efforts to reposition the company and repair its reputation after the 2008 financial crisis.

She established and co-chaired the company’s Sustainable Finance Committee, which included a $1 trillion environmental business initiative, deploying capital to help accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, sustainable economy. She also chaired the ESG Committee, which directed the company’s ESG efforts.

Finucane chaired the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, which during her tenure deployed more than $3.5 billion in philanthropic giving.

Finucane serves on a number of public, private, and non-profit boards. She is the Chairwoman of Rubicon Carbon, TPG’s carbon credit company, and Senior Advisor to TPG’s Rise Climate Fund; and is a board member of CVS Health and Williams Sonoma. She also serves on the boards of Mass General Brigham Healthcare, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Special Olympics, and Water.org. She is a member of the (RED) Advisory Board and the Council on Foreign Relations. Finucane was consistently highlighted in the world’s “most powerful women” lists in Forbes, Fortune, and American Banker. In 2021, she received the Carnegie Hall Medal of Honor, and in 2019 she received the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for Inspired Leadership Award and was inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Fame.
