Tabitha Olang

Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Africa

Tabitha Olang is the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager for the Africa region based in Nairobi, Kenya. Her work entails leading the MEL function in GEAPP’s Africa portfolio; enabling GEAPP to effectively analyse its strategy, roadmaps and key indicators.

Prior to this role, Tabitha was a Senior Associate, Portfolio view, in GEAPP Africa’s Country delivery team which involved tracking capital allocation and deployment of the Africa portfolio. She has also worked as a Senior Associate at The Rockefeller Foundation and was responsible for supporting the Foundation’s Power & Climate Initiative’s Africa portfolio through project management, policy research, grant management and development of key stakeholder convenings. Before joining the Rockefeller Foundation, she worked as an M&E Associate at IDinsight, a mission-driven global advisory, data analytics, and research organization that helps global development leaders maximize their social impact. Tabitha has over 5 years experience working in the sub-Saharan Africa renewable energy access and transition sectors.

Tabitha holds a Masters in Sustainability Science from The University of Tokyo and received her bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Strathmore University.
