Jessica Uhl currently serves as the Executive Co-Chair of Mission Possible Partnership (MPP), a role she assumed after serving as the Vice Chair of the same organization since October 2022. The MPP alliance of climate leaders focuses on supercharging efforts to decarbonise some of the world’s highest-emitting industries in the next 10 years.

Prior to her current role, Uhl held several significant positions. From 2017 to 2022, she was the Chief Financial Officer of Shell plc, an international energy company, where she played a key role in the company’s shift to a net-zero strategy and drove the transparency agenda. Before her tenure as CFO, she held various finance leadership positions within Shell, including Executive Vice President of Finance for Integrated Gas and Upstream
Americas.

In addition to her role at MPP, Uhl is an independent director of Goldman Sachs and Executive Board Member for School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University (SIPA) Center on Global Energy Policy advisory. Uhl is also board member of General Electric, RMI (Rocky Mountain Institute), one of the founding partners of MPP and serves as a strategic advisor to Breakthrough Energy.

Uhl’s educational background includes degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and INSEAD.

Throughout her career, Uhl has received several recognitions. She has been named one of the top 50 “Most Powerful Women” by both Forbes for her global leadership, and by Fortune for her business leadership.
