Annette Mutuku
Director, Communications, Africa
Annette is a global communication and advocacy professional, responsible for implementing innovative and strategic communication that fosters sustainable impact for GEAPP’s work in Africa. She believes Africa can and is accelerating solutions for the region and the world’s toughest challenges. Annette has over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, social/digital campaigns, public relations, reputation management, storytelling, brand management, media relations and culture communication working for General Electric, Microsoft and Huawei Technologies. She has also consulted widely with other organizations, including the WHO Foundation, Help a Child, Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, AP Moller Capital and Turner and Townsend. A certified trainer and coach with John Maxwell Leadership, she is passionate about raising young leaders through school and church mentorship programs. Annette also serves in boards of Kenya ICT Authority (ICTA), iChange Now Leadership, and Nafisika Trust. She has a BA in Communications from Daystar University and a master’s degree in business administration (Marketing) from the University of Nairobi.
