Benna is a holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree from University of Nairobi with a specialisation in Accounting and Economics. She also holds a higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from Cambridge International College as well as a Diploma in Business Management. She is an advanced Operations and Human Resources professional offering over 15 years of international experience in Power sector, Manufacturing sector, Finance sector, and Education sector. She has wide experience in quality assurance and leadership. Highly skilled in streamlining operations and improving continuous work processes and cross- functional collaborations. She is accomplished in building high-performing teams and inspiring staff to achieve personal and professional goals.

Her expertise lies in successfully partnering with teams at all levels to proactively address business objectives. She has developed and implemented systems, processes, and procedures to improve business operations at the office and project levels. She has been integral in transitioning businesses from outsourced operational models to independent business operated entities, integrating of businesses in several countries, formation of work processes and procedures in several countries. She has managed comprehensive HR responsibilities including Talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, succession planning, pension management, employee development across different countries. Benna has been proactive in undertaking responsibilities to give back to the society. She is a mentor to about 20 girls in her village who have dropped out of school due to early pregnancies. She has been a board member in several high schools in the country on a voluntary basis. She is a mother of two teenage girls and a young boy and loves spending time with them. She loves well presented and delicious food and during her free time she spends most of her time in the kitchen with her Children trying new recipes.
