Corey Karaka

Corey is an Investment Director at the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) where he structures and executes clean energy investments (equity, debt and blended finance) across developing economies.
Corey began his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs where he worked on mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and fundraising transactions in energy, infrastructure and technology across Australia, Asia, North America and Europe.
After Goldman Sachs, Corey worked in M&A and investments for Vivo Energy – a pan-African energy firm backed by Helios Investment Partners and Vitol – where he worked on the company’s IPO and acquisitions of energy assets.
Before joining GEAPP, Corey was a member of the corporate venture capital and investment banking arms of DAI – an international development firm tackling social and economic development through public and private solutions across nearly 200 countries.
Corey holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons I) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Sydney.
