Oliver Glanville
Manager, ACMI, Solutions
Oliver leads the African Carbon Markets Initiative (ACMI) – one of GEAPP’s current priority scalable solutions. ACMI aims to massively scale carbon markets across Africa, channelling international climate funding to address energy access, decarbonisation and other environmental challenges.
Prior to joining GEAPP, Oliver was at McKinsey where he helped to develop their carbon markets offering, alongside serving a range of private and public sector clients in carbon markets, emissions reductions policy and scenario analysis. Particular highlights include working with a European government to set their Climate Action Plan; developing a carbon market exchange/ecosystem in the Middle East; and modelling the impact of behavioural shifts on emissions related to the global food industry. Oliver has also worked in Ethiopia and Afghanistan in the bamboo and women’s empowerement spaces respectively.
Oliver received a Master of Science degree in Environmental Governance and Bachelor of Science in Geography, both from the University of Oxford.
